Recently, the UOL students participated in gender equality football match organized at Zarthgurban situated in upper Shimshal Valley, at an altitude of 4100 m above sea level. Al Shams Women FC, a local team of this valley, organized this match aimed at creating awareness about women sports in the country and to give the message of equality and peace to the world.
Munawar Shah, a semester IV student of Bachelor of Science Sports Science and Physical Education was among the organizers of this event which is part of Al-Shams’s efforts to empower girls through sports and providing opportunities focused on enhancing their leadership skills and showcasing their talent.
Around 29 girls including Ms. Sajina Mirza (Bs. English Language & Literature) participated in this match and exhibited rare sports skills at this highest altitude football ground.
